HT103 - Understanding Your Dashboard
Taxes Dashboard Overview
- At the top of your dashboard rounded with red, you’ll see Selected Tax Year, Capital Gains, Net Income, Net Expenses, and Total Transactions.
- This area provides the key details needed to file your taxes in your local jurisdiction.
- The Transactions Labeled bar shows the percentage of your transactions that have been categorised.
Portfolio Review
- The Portfolio Review section shows your connected wallets, number of transactions, net gain/loss, and reconciliation progress.
- Use the Manage Wallets button to add or adjust wallets and exchanges at any time.
Capital Gains Section
- This section provides a detailed look at your realised gains or losses.
- If no data is available, it means transactions need to be added or synced.
Income & Expenses
- The Income & Expenses section summarises all income earned and expenses recorded across your wallets and exchanges.
- If this section shows “No data available,” you may need to add wallets or reconcile transactions to populate it.
Reconcile Transactions
- Use the Reconcile Transactions button to review and confirm each transaction, you can also click on the main menu Transactions item to achieve same result.
- This ensures accuracy in your reports.
- You can filter by wallet, labels, Solana programs, and fiscal year.
Settings Panel
Located on the right side of the dashboard below Reconcile Transactions.
Here you can see:
- Cost Method (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, HIFO)
- Country for tax jurisdiction
- Fiscal Year for reporting that you can select and change
This ensures your reports match your local tax rules.
Download Tax Reports
- The Tax Reports section allows you to download ready-to-submit reports for your accountant or tax software.
- Click Download Tax Report button to export your data.
Tax Report Types
When you click Download Tax Report, you’ll see multiple report options:
- Report Summary (PDF): Includes income, expenses, wallets added, and capital gains.
- Capital Gains (CSV): Lists gains/losses from your transactions.
- Income (CSV): Shows income-based transactions.
- Expenses (CSV): Provides a breakdown of expenses.
- Transactions Report (CSV): A full record of your transactions.
- TurboTax 1099-B (CSV): Directly upload-able into TurboTax.
Select the report you need, click Generate Report, and then download the file once it’s ready.
